GRADE SCALE 2 = Poor 3 = Below Average 4 = Average 5 = Above Average 6 = Good 7 = Very Good 8 = Exceptional 9 = Rare
Key Diagnose/Read & React
3
Mott needs to work on better coverage against bigger Tight Ends and slot WRs at the next level....can be quicker in making reads....may have tendency to bite on play action....
Run Support
4
Playing against the run is his strength.Shoots gaps well and is good in support.

Man Coverages

Mott's tackling is somthing he takes pride in he is not afraid to to make contact on a play.
Closing Quickness
2
Motts has the ability to get in the backfield and blowup plays and make a lot of open field tackles.
Back Pedal/Turn
2
Mott coverage weaknesses are due to how close to line of scrimmage. He will have to work on his back/pedal and turn against his slot WR....In coverage he is slow on the turn and looks inside at the QB and will get burned deep.
Hands
2
Mott didn't produce a lot of INTs in his college career because he was used against the run mostly.
Jam
2
In the films i saw Mott wasn't jamming WRs . He played off his assignments...needs work jamming and knocking WRs off their routes.....

OVERALL SUMMARY
Overall Strengths
Motts strength is playing against the run.He can read and react well and blowup plays in the backfield......plays well against assignments inside the box.
Overall Weaknesses
Motts weakness are in pass coverage .He will have to get used to playing a smaller faster slot WRs.And he will have to learn to take better angles against bigger faster Tight Ends. Also has to watch his aggressiveness against the smaller RB could cost him a big play.
Overall Summary
Mott has the tools to make it to the pro level but is raw in areas that NFL personnel look at most... Mott played with a lot of experience around him that brought out his leadership experiences. Also Mott will have to learn that at the next level to play more within his game and trust the players around him. Motts ability to play the run and willingness to hit will carry him to the Pro Level but at what level will need to be determined... Didnt dominate his level of competiton but was decently productive... may need development at pro indoor level first...If he shows willingness to be aggressive and jam WRs could be CFL camp guy but seems destined for some seasoning at pro indoor level first...If he times in 4.4s at a Pro Day or National Combine it could open some eyes but any average testing numbers for his position will not get much attention based on number of higher level DBs rated ahead of him....
