Leon began his scouting carrer working as an entry level scout after completing an internship with former NFL scout Russ Lande,founder of GM Jr www.gmjr.com and author of GM Jr?s Guide To The NFL Draft. Leon quickly rose up the ranks from entry level scout to area scout covering sections of Ohio and Pa within his territory.
After completing all assignments in a timely manner Leon was promoted to Central Region Scouting Director. Leon's hard work and effort and passion for scouting & football in general played a key role in his advancement. In April 2007 , Leon was given the added title of National Scouting Coordinator where his duties will include interviewing potential scouting candidates, reviewing research and phone assignments, and educating the scouts on our policies and procedures...
Leon also write independent scouting reports and mini evals on qualified college seniors, draft board prospects with free agent grades as well as the top performing pro indoor players from previous years draft classes who have clearly played above their competition and warrant potential for advancement.
His DivIA college scouting will focus on the Big East Conference seniors with free agent grades and non draft board free agents. Leon also contributes information on prospects from the A-10 (IAA), PSAC & MIAA (D2), and the OAC & NCAC D3 conferences.
In 2009 Leon started his own independent scouting service Football National Scouting.
Leon has worked with different leagues to help them start up as well as working different combines for them as well. He works closley with the CFL, AFL and UFL helping get players to the next level and He has since expanded his company to assist High-school Players into College and on teams.
Dwayne Green, Southern Region Scout
Dwayne began scouting about 4 years ago after his professional football career ended. He has worked with many experienced Scouts mainly Leon. Leon has been very instrumental in his progression. Since he had an opportunity to play in the CFL Calgary Stampede and AFL he was able to use his ability to spot talent on all levels. He currently coach the special teams and wide receivers at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Fl. He is studying management (sports) has a degree in communication. He will use his coaching and pro experience to assist Leon working with the different Leagues such as CFL, UFL and AFL.
His Div IA college scouting will be geared towards the Big East Conference seniors with free agent grades and non draft board free agents. He will also contribute information on prospects from the MEAC Sun Belt and Conference USA as well as D2), D3 conferences in the southern region.
Dwayne Reside in St. Petersburg, FL and is married to Melissa andand has three children: sons Da’Vion and Da’Mari and daughter Da’Miya Green
